    Yeah, Elvis, thanks for the links and the reminder. It’s gonna be a nasty battle, I’m afraid. They can’t possibly come up with anyone qualified for the job, who would *take* the job. Kind of Helleresque.

    And I’ll go you one more— they need to hire a True Believer who will help cover up and continue whatever illegal and unconstitutional plots happen to pop into David Addington’s head.

    Mike Allen at Politico comes up with the short list here , apparently the favorite being Michael Mukasey, former judge and legal advisor to rudy, who presided over part of the Padilla proceedings. He’s an advocate of expanded executive but, apparently, not the raving looney that the others are. Schumer likes him. Do you know anything about him?
